Web Project Manager

Location: Hendon Office NW4, London

Job Role: We are looking for a project manager from a programming background. You will be responsible for liaising with the sales team to create detailed project specifications and briefs. Once confirmed with the client, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the project, including but not limited to:

• Creating wireframes and planning the projects
• Setting deadlines and key deliverables
• Briefing the designers and programmers (some in-house and some offshore)
• Keeping track of progress and ensuring deadlines are met
• Frequent contact with the client to keep them up to date and show progress where necessary
• Maintaining quality control (testing, design etc)
• Programming when need be
• Training junior developers

On average, you will be managing 5-10 projects in various stages at any given time. In addition to managing projects you will also be required to make sure that KD Web maintains its competitive edge by researching and testing upcoming technologies and implementing them where they will be beneficial and cost effective to the business. The role is fast paced and requires the ability to adapt to different situations quickly.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, resourceful, outgoing and a team leader.

• Have at least 3 years experience in an agency environment managing web based projects as either a project manager or a team leader.
• Have experience of leading a team and managing people and resources
• Have a technical background with knowledge of programming, the lifecycle of a web project, databases, testing etc.
• Excellent knowledge of CSS, HTML, PHP, MYSQL, JavaScript, Ajax, various CMS & Ecommerce systems with knowledge of SEO is essential
• Be trained to Prince 2 standards or similar
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions and meet deadlines with a strong track record of success
• Have a keen eye for design
• Have experience with dealing with clients on the phone and face to face
• Have excellent organisational and planning skills to ensure project specifications are detailed and precise. This includes being able to write clear and concise specifications and make sure they are adhered to throughout the project cycle
• Be ambitious and innovative to further the goals of the company
• Be able to use Microsoft Project or similar to an excellent level
• Have a sense of humour so everyone can get along with you :)

Salary: £25k-£35k depending on qualifications and level of experience.

Sales Executive

Location: Hendon office, NW London

Description: This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in new media who wishes to succeed in sales. You will be working with a small team of talented and experienced designers and developers in a warm and friendly environment, working under the wing of our New Business Manager. This role would ideally suit a recent graduate or college leaver with some sales experience.

Job Role: Selling our company to companies that may require web design, graphic design and other projects. You will be responsible for some cold calling and lead generation, as well as backing up our marketing campaigns and dealing with sales enquiries that are generated by us. You will be responsible for the development of the sale from start to finish so the ability to develop relationships and account manage is essential. If you can bring in the prospects, our work will sell itself.

Salary: Basic with excellent commission - OTE £25K+ (uncapped)

Junior Web Designer

Job Length: 1 - 2 years
Location: Hendon, NW London

Qualifications/Experience/Description:

An excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL, and control management systems is essential as well as good knowledge of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and Microsoft Word. The position is based in our Hendon - NW4 design studio, and NOT in our Central London office. The position consists of slicing, programming and installing CMS systems on the Photoshop designs supplied by our Creative Director, as well as maintaining and updating current sites.

Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 5 days a week
Salary: Salary for this position is low to start with. However, it is a mixture of working and learning in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and is a great way to break into the field, whilst gaining small business, commercial experience at the same time.

Web Developer

Job Length: Negotiable

Qualifications/Experience/Description:
You will need an excellent knowledge of:
HTML
CSS
PHP
MYSQL
JavaScript
AJAX
CMS integration
Search Engine Optimisation techniques.
Accessibility

You must have a minimum of 3 years CSS/PHP/MYSQL experience in an agency environment.

You will also need a good knowledge of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and Microsoft Word. The position is based in our Hendon - NW4 design studio, and NOT in our Central London office. The position consists of developing and maintaining websites with CMS systems either built from scratch or modified.

Hours: Negotiable
Salary: Salary for this position is £20-£25k depending on experience

Junior Graphic Designer

Job Length: 1 - 2 years
Location: Hendon, NW London

Qualifications/Experience/Description:

You must have an eye for good design. Software knowledge of the following is essential:
Photoshop (Excellent)
Illustrator or Freehand (Excellent)
Dreamweaver (Good)
Flash (Good)

This position is suitable for a school/college leaver.

Hours: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM, 3 to 5 days a week (negotiable)
Salary: Starting salary for this position is £12,000 - £15,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
